Ms. Allyn is a graduate of Queens College of the City University of New York and holds a Masters Degree from New York University in Rehabilitation Counseling. She holds certifications in Rehabilitation Counseling, as a Employee Assistance Professional, and in Addictions Counseling. She is licensed in the State of Florida as a Rehabilitation Provider for the Division of Workers Compensation, and as a Mental Health Counselor.

Ms. Allyn's professional experience spans over 20 years of providing counseling, training and management consulting services. She has provided education and training on various topics in the fields of alcoholism and chemical dependency, family dysfunction, vocational and career issues, stress management and job burnout. She developed and implemented training programs for displaced women and women returning to the workforce. Additionally she worked with the over-fifty population in providing vocational services to Senior Citizens returning to the workforce. She has started self help support groups, and as a Board Member, officer and President of her Rotary Club, has contributed to various other community projects. Currently, she is on the faculty of Nova Southeastern University.

Ms. Allyn is a published author. She has written and presented articles on a national level to professionals in the mental Health and Addictions fields. her most recent endeavor has been the production and distribution of a series of hypnosis Wellness and healing audio tapes. Her book, Life Support and a Book for Renewal, is a compendium of inspirational thoughts which has been well received in the community.

Several Local Television Stations have interviewed Ms.  Allyn on matters of Stress and her 'Fear of Flying' Program.
